Marketing engineer is a rising role in tech

Tech firms had 75 people titled marketing engineer in July 2026, up from 49 a year earlier and the most since at least 2020, according to Live Data Technologies data.

How we counted

People whose title is marketing engineer, with senior, lead, founding, AI or growth prefixes, at software, AI, internet, marketing and IT services firms, worldwide, counted each July. The title's older meaning, sales engineers at equipment and chip makers, is left out. Counts are people Live Data tracks.
